What is Food Insecurity?

Food insecurity is defined as the disruption of food intake or eating patterns because of a lack of money and other resources. 1 in 5 youth and 1 in 8 adults struggle with food insecurity and hunger in the state of Maine alone.

With 1 in 5 youth struggling with hunger in Maine, we made it our mission to end it. Starting in York County, Maine, We aim to end hunger and food insecurity to make a youth full Maine. To fulfill our mission of ending youth's hunger and food insecurity in Maine we partner with schools and manage distribution centers to positively impact more youth.
