Coming alongside schools in York County we provide food insecure youth with nourishing food to help them in their development. One of the school systems we partner with is Old Orchard Beach school system. Creating a foundation for youth to succeed in school without getting distracted by hunger.
With many food insecure youth at home due to the pandemic, managing distribution of food to hungry youth outside of schools is one problem we plan to solve. Through food distribution centers we can hold food and manage the volume needed to increase our positive impact on food insecure youth.
When you give, you increase the volume of healthy and nutritious food we distribute to hungry and youth. Every 2 weeks to a month, we buy food in bulk to distribute through the food banks and distribution centers we manage. Give monthly to support our efforts to end food insecurity.
Expanding our impact means increasing the volume of food we can manage and distribute to hungry youth. To manage healthy and nutritious food more effectively, we are in need of a walk in freezer and freezer chests. To increase the volume of food we distribute, we need a distribution van for food transport.
